My first post

 WRIT 100 class 

Hello everyone ! I am really excited to start the semester!!

Let me start introducing myself first: 

My name is Ana Jesus and I am taking fashion arts and business at Humber college, I am 20 years old and I moved to Canada from Brazil with my family 6 years ago, when I first arrived here it was extremely hard for me because of the language, by that time I was 14 years old and all I wanted was to learn English quickly so I could start making new friends, but before coming to Canada I hated english class so I thought it was going to be impossible to learn the language, after a few months I was already talking to everyone in class and didn’t want to leave the country anymore, I graduated from high school in 2020 and now I am here.

Something I would like to research if I had more time :

If I had more time I would love to explore more about the ocean and all the secrets it hides, only 5% of the ocean was explored, I feel we have much more to learn about it and some years ago we had much more but with the human activities and pollution, thousands of especies were extinguished and I know if we learn more about it we also learn how to take care and why we should take care of the ocean.

What I am most enthusiastic and most anxious about pursuing with this courses:

I am really enthusiastic with all the new vocabulary words I can learn by reading a variety of texts. And I am also a little anxious with all the writing we are going to be doing but I will try my best to always write as professionally as possible. 

How the assessment and grading in this course make me feel:

I am not used to not being graded for the assessment but I feel it is a good way to practice if you do all the assessments until you feel confident for the exams and a good way to get feedbacks from your teacher before receiving a bad grade.
